Roadmap

DaDesktop for training roadmap

  1. Training materials organisation – Better integration with trainer materials, user notes, presentations, etc...
  2. Auto Upscaling Desktop – Should a participant’s or trainer’s Desktop run out of resources, additional resources (CPU, RAM, Disk) will be automatically added without stopping the desktop.
  3. Real-time subtitles with translations – For example, a trainer speaking English can deliver training to Japanese participants, who can then read Japanese subtitles in real-time (available for customers who have selected “Preview features”).
  4. Real-time interpretation with AI – Japanese participants can listen to the real-time Japanese interpretation while the trainer is speaking English.
  5. Participant assistant – The system assists participants during labs by suggesting the ‘next move’ or alerting them if they’ve performed an exercise incorrectly, offering quicker feedback when they get stuck. Also known as the Participant Assistant Agent. (available in Preview features)
  6. Statistics – Course coordinators and stakeholders can view user participation.

DaDesktop for Work (DD4W)

  1. Public Cloud – Currently, DaDesktop for work is only available for private deployments. The goal is to make dd4w available to the general public as a public cloud offering.
  2. Better encryption integration – Currently, encryption setup is handled solely by the operating system. DaDesktop integration would enable a smoother process via a GUI, so users wouldn’t need to type a password into the machine because the system already recognises them.
  3. Auto-switch Remote replica – The system will create or detect the closest remote replica to minimise lag and improve the user experience.

DaDesktop Labs/Self-study

  1. The system provides feedback on lab progress.
  2. Creator studio – Lab creators can easily edit recordings online and synchronise them with lab instructions, desktop templates, and other resources (already available in Beta).
