Creating Organisations

Typically, an Organisation is set up automatically with the same name as your username when you register.

However, you may find it useful to create a new Organisation at times, for instance as a Company name, where multiple users from one company are using DaDesktop.

Please note: Creating an Organisation is a Super Admin feature only.

Creating Organisations in DaDesktop

There are two ways to create an Organisation: the default method also creates an organisation owner account at the same time, while the second method does not require an owner user account (e.g., when one already exists).

Creating an Organisation and setting up the owner user account

• The account owner's email address, password, and first and last names are required. Roles can be selected as needed. The currency is determined by the portal used: dadesktop.com selects EUR by default, while dadesktop.cn specifies CNY.
• The Organization name is also required, along with a short code. Once set, the code cannot be changed.
• The settings for Allowing course recordings and publishing course recordings apply to ALL recordings within an Organisation. The same applies to Receiving Promotional Emails—this setting affects the entire organisation.
• 'Allow Recordings' determines whether Recordings are available across the whole organisation.
• Private servers can be selected if needed. Please note that a server must be marked as 'Private' before it becomes available for selection.
